India spends £330MILLION of £1billion UK foreign aid on GIANT BRONZE STATUE
BRITONS are outraged after the Indian government spent hundreds of millions of the £1.17billion of overseas aid sent to them by the UK.
While the UK was sending India £1.17billion in aid, the Indian government was spending nearly half of that on the world’s tallest statue.
This new statue is twice the height of the US’ Statue of Liberty and has been met with condemnation for the large bill that it carried.
Over the 56 months it took to build India’s Statue of Unity, the government spent around £330million of UK taxpayer’s aid.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the statue’s unveiling.

Re: India spends £330MILLION of £1billion UK foreign aid on GIANT BRONZE STATUE
Up until 2011 we were still sending direct aid to Russia and we still gave £47MILLION to China in foreign aid despite a promise to stop sending cash there eight years ago.
Whilst China itself has set up a foreign aid department with a whopping 26billion in its coffers to influence recipients.

And people wonder why I for one am all against these Aid policies.
The same as when crop seed was sent for planting to help against the famine 'they ate it then asked for more to plant for the next years harvest.

Hang on; there was a famine, therefore starving people, therefore saw food, therefore ate said food, therefore had no seed left to sow, therefore asked for more. (reminds me of a Dickens novel). Am I missing something?
This I found when looking that up; a very interesting article on rice production in India - Asia that averted famine in the 50's. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-38156350
Worth reading, though nothing to do with eating the seeds, it was an was eye opener into what can be achieved.

In some parts of Asia they are growing fish in the paddy fields alongside the rice (tilapia). the fish eat the pests so that pesticide is not required and the waste from the fish fertilizes the rice. At the end of the season there are two crops, the rice and the fish.

Yes INDIA again, but when are these never ending hand-outs going to stop?

So your kids and wife are dying of starvation , would you let them die or consume the life saving grain and hope ?
Would you let your family die of starvation ?
