If UK Remains in EU - What Then?

I have the simplistic view that you are either part of this club or out of it. We have dithered around for 40 years playing political EU Hokey-Cokey, and the current position is neither in nor out.

If the Brexit is thwarted, my view is that UK should get completely in - currency, army, free movement, civil service etc etc. I am sure europhiles will endorse this, and welcome the idea of full integration. A full United States of Europe, with UK fully integrated. It is the only logical conclusion of remaining.

We should also look to reducing the civil service and other state apparatus to avoid duplication. Let Brussels run the country. Reduce Parliament and The Lords down to a position of talking shop and cut out the expense and pomp. Keep The Queen, but accept that a monarchy within a federation is rather meaningless.

Just a few thoughts.

What many on here fail to realise is that the common market or any variable was the brainchild of Truman and Churchill for european countries to hold Grmanys hand following two world wars. It looks as though it is on the rise again and Britain should not be a party to it.

It looks like the British Establishment has other ideas and wants greater integration. So with greater involvement there is an inevitability as to where that is heading; you are either in or out, and "in" means a lot more than it meant 40 years ago.

Nothing to do with the EU the fact that our pensions are not as good reflects on our own attitudes to pensions the voters have allowed subsequent goverments to swindle us .
State pension is still treat as a benefit and not a right allowing government to change things without permission
