Re: Religion, again.

I am having big trouble getting my head around that report, the mother must be traumatized. I just can't imagine what a parent would go through experiencing that and I hope I never will.

Religion has a lot to answer for both now and in the past; this idiot was obviously a zealot, that was mentally deranged.

There are reports that a policeman was nearby but did not go to the boys aid, if true I do not know how to interpret that, but it must surely not be the whole story.

Re: Religion, again.

You only have to look round the world to see the brutality of sectarian violence can bring , from India to Myanmar, Ireland to former Yugoslavia, Africa Rwandan Hutu and Tutsi ,China to Thailand, and ME Sunni Shia.

Like you said Bickern Religion has a lot to answer for ....

ps Bickern you may have misread Kanga's DM and TMV. link, as it said
Quote:
The taxi driver slit his throat with a shard of glass before stabbing him repeatedly as both his mother and a nearby police officer attempted to stop the brutal attack.

Re: Religion, again.

Yes I did Camden, that is a relief. To be honest I think my mind went blank when I read it. I am not squeamish by any means but reading that really did affect me. My thoughts really go out to not just the mother but all the family.
