This item taken from Reuters. It is not about global warming though it is related to the damage we are doing to our home. Whether the sea levels rise or fall plastic is here to stay and will eventually choke us all.

Re: Global warming,so what happened to it.

A smoke cloud larger than the European Union is covering parts of Siberia
The UN's World Meteorological Organization (WMO) confirmed that the area that the wildfire smoke covers totals "more than 5 million km²" (over 1.2 billion acres or 500 million hectares), which is more than the size of the European Union at "about 4.5 million km²" (over 1.1 billion acres or 450 million hectares).

Wildfires have been raging throughout much of Russia's Siberian region for the past three months.

A spate of huge fires in northern Russia, Alaska, Greenland and Canada discharged 50 megatonnes of CO2 in June and 79 megatonnes in July, far exceeding the previous record for the Arctic.

The intensity of the blazes continues with 25 megatonnes in the first 11 days of August – extending the duration beyond even the most persistent fires in the 17-year dataset of Europe’s satellite monitoring system.

Re: Global warming,so what happened to it.

It's reported today that after a private jet flight to the climate conference in Sicily recently, with a stay on a private yacht, and haranguing the great unwashed peasantry about pollution etc, Harry and Meghan have had a private jet flight to take baby Archie on holiday to Majorca for a week.
Doesn't exactly inspire, does it.

There is an article in the Daily Fail today about their latest trip.

They say that the private jet would cost a total of £40k. So if you add that to all the other trips they take by private jet, the question I would like to ask is where is the money coming from?

I don't know off hand what their Royal allowance is, but I doubt very much it comes from that. So who is bankrolling them?

Re: Global warming,so what happened to it.

Apparently no official state allowance but worth $40 million , due to inheritance and familial settlements .

I would consider it to be pure conjecture , but probably not far off .

Isn't it the case that the rich and the famous who continually bleat on about it, actually do not believe it. If they did, they wouldn’t fly...
