Scary? What’s scary about it, should I up my security.

Do you sit up all night looking for news items to knock the UK?

. . .and yet we often see reports of 'homeless' beggars 'earning' 3 figure sums daily from generous donors and passers by. I remember a few years ago an investigative reporter following a Romanian family in London with small children, begging, who went home on the train to a nice house out at the end of the line every night.
A friend just moved to Galway to work and says that the housing is a nightmare, people sharing small flats and property owners getting more for holiday lets and airbnb than a long term tenant. I imagine it's the same everywhere, airbnb has a lot to answer for.

I am sure when it comes to Charity or generosity from the public, there will always be those who abuse it when easy money is involved .... scammers are scammers in whatever field they work in..... but they are in the minority, but take up the plenty of column space and sell newspapers etc with good stories for the media .... but are bad publicity and detrimental for the majority of the many genuine cases of homelessness .....

But we shouldn't let Governments especially the Tories with slogans like "Big Society" relinquish their responsibilities and reduce their budgets accordingly to the people, by more reliance on the generosity of the public and charities to fill the gaps they should be providing , in school supplies ,hospital equipment, debt help, and the feeding and welfare of the homeless.

Re: Poverty ?

We need to do more, comes the cries from the likes of David Miliband. Does he mean we need to do more for the people or more for his wages? Over £600k per year.

Unnecessary – just get a copy of Basic Economics for Dummies and ask someone with more patience than myself to explain it to you.

Do you sit up all night looking for news items to knock the UK?

I sit up all night looking for positive news about Brexit but to no avail.

Perhaps you could help?
But yet again I see no connection to my post but understand that noise must out.

Stick to the topic, “poverty”, nothing to do with Brexit.

If you can't see the connection between poverty & Brexit make sure that Dummies book is delivered by express!

Stick to the topic instead of being condescending, I know it’s a struggle for you.
