As none of them have met him, I assume the hatred stems from their info source, probably the tabloids.

I can understand that some Labour and ex-Labour members whose own campaigns are/have been funded by Israel and have strong affiliations with Israel, don't like the direction, and a leader who is is pro Palestinian and a strong supporter of BDS The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions which the Israeli PM Netenyahu detests funding a propaganda campaign to resist, worldwide ..... This takes many forms and one is slandering of its supporters ....helped by a right wing and their Press and Blairite surpporters within .

No one could fault Ian Austin being a good advocate of Israel. once a member of Friends of Israel grouping when in the Labour Party, maybe natural affinity with him being a son of a Holocaust survivor. This staunch advocacy could explain the continuing of his funding through a pro Israeli business man since becoming an Independent MP ..

but at times his defense of Israeli spills into anti Muslim bias and attacks on supporters of Palestine... something he is now blaming Corbyn and the Labour Party in reverse of antisemitism in his support of Palestine and their supporters.

Austin should remember the phrase about people in Glass houses after having to make an ‘unreserved apology‘ after culmination of legal proceedings for a lie he perpetrated in a a Labour publication calling a Palestinian Group, as Holocaust denier's when they hadn't and had actually had been working for 15 years defending the Palestinian cause and campaigning for Palestinian freedom.

Austin's thinking doesn't fit with the Corbyn led Labour ...with Austin voting for the Iraqi war, he advocated anti migrant regulations.he campaigns against BDS ( actually apologizing to Israel govt for it ) is anti Palestine....

He certainly has an ax to grind .... on behalf of himself and the country he advocates for.......in this change to a pro Palestinian Labour policy ...

Once again the basis of your argument is a smear Call him left wing and that is enough for many small minded people to hate him and not look at his policies. The Labour Manifesto was very similar the the policies of the Scandinavian countries, Germany, Portugal, etc. Everyone of these countries have better standards of living that we do If you don't believe me google it, just see where UK stand in most of the indicators for wealth and happiness.

In many countries Corbyn would be seen as a moderate.
What is extreme about building enough enough houses so we can end homelessness? What is extreme with funding the NHS so it works better for everyone? What is extreme about putting more police on the streets? What is extreme about funding schools so they can stay open 5 days a week and not 4 1/2? One more, what is extreme about bringing water, trains and energy into public ownership so the country profits from it not other countries and private individuals? I could go on but you get the point.

The extremists are not the left wing. Or as I prefer to think of them the "Just" people who want a fairer society for the 99% of people in or country.

Re: Jeremy Corbyn - part-funded by supporters of terror

My objection to him is that I think he lacks competence, he's never impressed me as being capable of acting on a world stage.

Unfortunately there's no one else in the current crop of Labour MP's who do so I'll be struggling at the next election, the situation is so serious that I can't vote "None of the above"!
