Jeremy Corbyn - part-funded by supporters of terror

Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership campaign was part-funded by a man closely aligned to the terror group Hamas, the Telegraph can reveal.

The Labour leader made an inaccurate declaration to Parliamentary authorities about the payment which obscured the donor’s true identity.

Ibrahim Hamami, a vitriolic opponent of the Oslo peace accords and a supporter of the current wave of stabbings of Jews in Israel, gave £2,000 to Mr Corbyn in August, one of only three main individual donors to his campaign. Two of the three have now been exposed as supporters of terror.

Mr Corbyn listed the donation in the Commons register of members’ interests as being from “Dr Ibrahim Hamam”, but Dr Hamami confirmed to the Telegraph on Saturday that he was the donor.

Mr Corbyn’s spokesman declined to answer questions about the donation or why it had been reported incorrectly. Mr Corbyn has close links with many terrorist groups, including the IRA and Hamas.

Mr Corbyn says he is opposed to violence and claims his links with Hamas are about promoting dialogue and peace
Dr Hamami, a GP who lives in London, is founder and director of the Palestinian Affairs Centre, a pro-Hamas group.

He was a columnist in an official Hamas newspaper, Filastin, in which he described PLO leader Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas, the current Palestinian Authority leader, as “traitors” and said the “shameful” authority was “similar to [Syrian president] Assad’s regime”.

Writing for another Hamas-supporting website, Palestine Info, on February 3 2009, he stated that Hamas would recognise the PLO only if it revoked its 1985 renunication of terrorism, tore up the Oslo peace accords and repudiated “Israel’s so-called right to exist".

Last week on his Facebook page, Dr Hamami praised the recent violence, which has seen seven Israelis killed and about 50 wounded in stabbings, shootings or attacks with cars over the last two weeks in what some are dubbing the “third intifada.”

He described the attacks as acts of “dignity, freedom and honour". pale

Dr Hamami helped organise the UK visit of the notorious extremist Raed Saleh, who has described Jews as “bacteria” and “monkeys” and promoted the blood libel, saying they use the blood of gentile children to bake their bread.

He acted as Saleh’s spokesman and visited him in jail after he was detained by UK immigration authorities.

Saleh was defended by Mr Corbyn, who called him “a very honoured citizen who represents his people extremely well” and said he “looked forward to giving you tea on the [House of Commons] terrace”.

Dr Hamami is well known to Mr Corbyn, who has described Hamas operatives as “friends” and has at least twice shared public platforms with him.

One of the events, on 24 February 2013, was organised by Interpal, a a British charity banned by the US government as “part of the funding network of Hamas” and as a terrorist organisation in its own right.

Interpal is allowed to operate in the UK after claiming it has broken its links with Hamas, a claim accepted by the Charity Commission.

However, Interpal’s managing trustee, Essam Mustafa, was pictured just over 18 months ago accompanying the Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, on an official visit in Gaza.

The two were filmed clapping and singing an anti-Israeli song in praise of Hamas’s military wing, the al-Qassam Brigades, and Hamas “martyrs.”

Mr Corbyn has also in the past received donations totalling at least £5,000 from Interpal and the Palestinian Return Centre, an organisation accused by Israel of being “Hamas’s organisational branch in Europe,” which it denies.

A second individual donor to Mr Corbyn’s leadership campaign has also been exposed as a supporter of Palestinian terror.

Ted Honderich, a retired professor at University College, London, who gave £5,000, wrote in a newspaper in 2011 that Palestinians “have a moral right to their terrorism within historic Palestine against neo-Zionism”.

Mr Corbyn has met the leadership of Hamas, including Mr Haniyeh, several times and has also praised, and spoken on platforms with, representatives of the Iranian-backed Hezbollah.

He once shared a platform with the Black September hijacker, Leila Khaled. In November 2012, Mr Corbyn hosted a meeting in Parliament with Mousa Abu Maria, a member of the banned terrorist group Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Mr Corbyn says he is opposed to violence and claims his links with Hamas are about promoting dialogue and peace.

However, as in his relationship with the IRA, he has expressed little interest in other sides of the dispute, including moderate Palestinans and the Israeli government.

Hamas, for its part, has repeatedly said that there can be no compromise with Israel, which must be destroyed.

Approached outside his GP’s surgery in White City last week, Dr Hamami confirmed he had made the donation but declined to comment further.

Asked whether he would object to being described as a strong ally of Hamas, he said: “I am not answering your questions. Get lost.”

Re: Jeremy Corbyn - part-funded by supporters of terror

With the amount of criminal activities listed the poster really has no choice but to report it to the Police, he wont, cos he knows fine well it's all bollox,
Get us the report number from the station when you report the terrorist Corbyn, it's your civic duty.
Amazing the Police and MI5/6 missed all that, they will be sure grateful for the heads up.
Show them the Corbyn chicken cover from the Sun while you are about it, that will clinch it

He was waiting in the van for Guy Fawkes as well you know.
