Showing serious ignorance here Mr Jaycey lol. Maybe strange to you but not strange to people who actually know anything about the degree or the study content involved.
“Mr Jaycey” is the Mr Darcy of this forum lol

In my ‘serious ignorance’ I understood that MSc courses majored in Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Environmental Sciences, Food Sciences, Life Sciences and the like so difficult to see how terrorism would fit unless the terrorist plans included steam engines, DIY nuclear IEDs, deadly nightshade, killer bees & salmonella poisoning etc.

I am, as always, open to correction in this.

Just saying, no questioning, no demanding and asking for a friend

Re: Incident on London Bridge

Does deradicalisation work?

“An idea is something you have,” said American historian Morris Berman. “An ideology is something that has you.”

The failure to combat extreme ideology has been thrown into sharp relief by the news that Usman Khan, the London Bridge attacker, had completed a terrorist rehabilitation programme while in prison for an earlier offence.

It raises two questions: could Friday’s attack have been prevented and, more broadly, does deradicalisation really work?

Jaycey - i repeat that your understanding is flawed lol. I can only speak from personal experience. i have an Msc and my thesis was on terrorism . You have given your understanding - I have merely said your understanding is incorrect in this instance. That is FACT .

Rehabilitation will work for some but I still wouldn't want them parked up in my road.

London attacker denied being a terrorist in 2008 interview with BBC - YouTube
Confused Fethiye. have you now made up your mind? because several posts before, you were blaming the London Bridge attack as a conspiracy false flag operation. Quoting for your facts from the right wing anti left " bin the Labour party "group.... are you now back on the right track believing as most, it was a case of terrorism ?

I read recently that Islam also teaches the concept of Taqiyya, which means it is permissible to lie for the cause of furthering Islamic causes. If that is the case you will never know if deradicalisation has worked as a committed terrorist will just lie to further the cause.
