Mobile use in cars

Now this is good news to me. lets hope that Turkey takes this one on. it could generate some income too.
New South Wales rolled out mobile phone detection cameras on Sunday, hoping to cut the number of fatalities on its roads by a third over two years, transport authorities said.

If only I.A.! When you see dolmus drivers using their 'phones, even looking down texting and no one doing anything about it. I really can't see sanctions happening in Turkey, sadly.

Yavaş yavaş catchee maymun. I felt like that about seat belts and smoking, but major progress has been made.

Really I.A. ? I was in Turkey a few weeks ago and didn't see much improvement re. seat belts and mobile 'phone users when driving. Actually, we had a transfer for Akbuk to Izmir in a decent people carrier and, guess what ? All the seat belts had been fixed so that passengers could not use them !!! Honestly, I couldn't believe it !

The smoking ban is largely successful, they are talking about extending it to entrances and exits. Seat belts are generally worn in my area. I think I would have refused to ride in the vehicle without seat belts, but that is a personal choice. When I drive down our field on my rotivator and trailer I actually find myself looking right at a 'junction' to see if there is anything coming!

It's unisex Sleepy, goes on either side. Can be driven on a UK licence, but the traffic Jandarma round here don't seem to stop them. No licence plate no insurance no bother.
