From your own article.

"However, the request was rejected a second time in a letter sent on Monday of this week by Penny Mordaunt MP, a minister of state and paymaster general. She wrote: "The UK cannot agree to the permanent EU presence based in Belfast."
Ms Mordaunt said there was no requirement in the Protocol for such a presence, and that it would be "divisive in political and community terms."

Re: Boris - Tories - What now?

Can you read it again and enjoy the word permanent

Please try and grasp this before one of us dies

To put it in terms you can understand they DELIBERATELY use the word PERMANENT so when they Uturn they can pretend its temporary.....for maybe 40 odd years

Now do you get it

Re: Boris - Tories - What now?

None

But its EU laws which will apply in Belfast

We only really have agriculture and manufacturing- rules for both of these remain firmly in EU

And ironically for the loopy Brexiteers the more you diverge away from EU rules - the more you move Britain away from Belfast

With Brexiteers the Provos really are redundant!!!

I think when they seen Farages plans to break up the UK they felt surplus to requirements !

Don't want to try and educate you but NI left the EU the same time rUK did, which in my book, that includes Belfast.

Re: Boris - Tories - What now?

I think youve been listening to and believing johnson again when it comes to whos writ will run in Belfast for the 2 industries of agriculture and manufacturing

But you continue to believe what you wish

Meanwhile back on planet earth

As regards lack of MEPs- whats best way of solving that one.....lol

Not listening to anyone, you seem to be all over the place on what's actually gone on.
Currently we are all still linked to the EU during the transition period BUT as said, NI left the EU the same time rUK did. You seem to be under the impression that at the end of the transition period NI will still be an EU member, if so, that's incorrect.

Re: Boris - Tories - What now?

More views from ultra staunch extreme right Belfast Brexiteers

Bless them they have been well and truly shafted!!!

They realise the first step in achieving constitutional change is to achieve financial or economic unity within the island now that Britain will be steering a different course

Once you are entertwined- indeed for rules and regulations , becoming dependent on ---Brussels via Dublin, your goose is starting to cook
