Re: Brexit going forward

I expect a delay because of the seriousness of this virus, most people will accept that without question.

Re: Brexit going forward

Why should there be a delay/hold, the people who are involved in sorting a deal can still talk to each other; the dealmakers can talk to each other; the decision makers can still talk to each other.

Just get on with it.

Don't look for a fight where there is none.

Did you not read my post. There is a fight and we are still fighting it and we expect to win

Brexit is a blip, it will pass. For the successful future of mankind, coalitions like the EU are essential

The concept of 100s of sovereign nation states trying to secure advantage for their population against the back drop of oppressing or manipulating lesser countries ( see British Empire for reference) is no longer a game in which the UK can participate. The super powers of USA China Russia and the EU are the main players now. (see USAs treatment of Turkey as an example)

I laugh at the fact that the super powers are the FEDERATION of Russia The Federation of the USA the Federation of China and the Federation of Europe

And we are fighting against being part of the management of the European federation????

Does this not sound insane?

OK please list your top 10 ECJ court rulings and briefly identify why the rulings were so bad you felt the need to call for leaving the EU and doing away with the ECJ

Re: Brexit going forward

There were many reasons for leaving the EU, different people having different reasons.

When someone votes for say Labour or Conservative at an election, most voters do not agree on all points and they vote for differing reasons the vote on Brexit was no different in my mind; the voters had their list of pros and cons and voted accordingly and it looks like the cons outweigh the pros, but different voters wşll not have had the same list,

That is why it is stupid to say the reason for Brexit was racist, yes some voters will have been racist, others just fed up of the EU and what they thought was meddling, others just wanted UK control of the UK (if there is such a thing).

Many a varied reason has been given to me why they voted the way they did (both camps), some I agreed with and some I didn't. Don't lump everyone in the same basket.

Absolutly

I do not belive the planet can survive petty bickering and money grabbing on a global scale. Unity and federation is the only way forward

In the same way Necluar weapons and the threat of mass destruction has brought peace in our time, large federations of near equal size controlling the world economy will dominate the future progress of mankind.

Russia and the USA know they cant go to all out war with each outer without mutual destruction. In the same way, they avoid all out economic war for exactly the same reasons

However they dont hesitate to invade the Ukraine or Georgia in the same way the USA invades Iran and Iraq for purely economic reasons

Then there's the issue of Environmental reform in countries like China India and Africa. Those are achieved with the big stick of economic trade and investment

The global future of mankind needs a global view not the sad and pathetic introverted views of many Brexit voters who'd gladly erect a wall round the UK in the totally misguided beleife wed be better off on our own

Ultimately ALL of the reasons boil down to intolerance, racialism, bigotry and a failure to be a teem player.

They failed to accept their position as EU citizens, rejected working together for a common goal with our Europien allies, fought against further integration with the remaining EU countries and lacked the vision to understand the necessity of forming a federation.

If racism, intolerance & bigotry isn't the reason for this viewpoint? what is?

The entire concept of "taking back control" must involve an element of not accepting the common goals of Europe and ruling against them

When confronted, asking which laws they are against and what EU ruling they object to we get the same old crap

1: all of them (which means they cant think of ANY)

2: Bananers?? Fake News

3: Fishing rights? This was a fisheries policy we negotiated and signed up for we did very well out of and then our government SOLD OFF the majority of our fishing quoters to foreign counties and now pretend they are fighting for the British fleet they actualy screwed over for decades

3: We won the war and shouldn't be ruled by Germany??? Germany doesn't run the EU and Germany had lesser power inside the management of the EU than UK France and Italy. This ignores the fact that our post war leadership outlined that we wold only survive as part of a Europien federation

There is no logic to brexit. Its all emotion. That emotion is bias by unfounded views that were are some how better, some how more superior. Such views are he bedrock of racist opinion.

Brexit voters dont like being called racists because it shines a bright light into the corners of their psyche

I am constantly staggered by people who claim they are not racist and then go on to spout some fairly extreme racist views

Re: Brexit going forward

In your minority opinion of course Chasey, even other remoaners don't necessarily take that viewpoint. If you can't take any note or are incapable of actually looking at things without a plain bias then what can I say. Remove the bias and you may actually become informed as to why Brexit won the vote, and why Brexit is happening.

I for one know a few who voted Brexit and others that voted remain and whilst some overlap, they didn't all vote for the same reasons. It was listening to Brexiteers and Leavers that took me off the fence and I joined the Brexit camp, and racism had nothing at all to do with it.

Re: Brexit going forward

Remain voters don’t just say leave voters got it wrong, they “demand” leave voters got it wrong.
It’s happened, it’s over regardless of who says what, a far more serious issue now has priority.
