Don't talk to me about following the Whips, with what happened to Labour in the last few days, how many was it who voted against Starmer? That's politics.
The Tory Majority are people MP's are fickle especially when in a marginal seat ...

You, also seem to forget we live in a Democracy and there is various methods to get your voice heard and to change public opinion, and public opinion can change Govt policy, as seen with all this governments U turns, it's important to them it seems , as Dominic Cummings algorithms spew trends and changes to Govt policy to suit....

Also marginal MP's can easily turn against a leader who threatens their seat

There is many methods to pressure thos Brexiteer Govt with statements in the commons , departmental questions, urgent questions and emergency debates, PMQs and select committee hearings, backbench and opposition led debates. Parliamentary questions provide MPs with frequent opportunities to get information out of the government.

Debates provide opportunities for individual MPs to raise issues and get their voices heard both to the media and the public.

Oh you’ve finally grasped it, “the majority are the people” & that “majority” has spoken twice. The referendum & the General Election.
The next time the majority will speak to change things will be in 2024

Re: Brexit going forward

Brexit 'endgame' will see a last-minute compromise between the UK and EU - boosting equities and the pound, one top strategist says.

Extract:
The battle over Brexit is reaching an "endgame" and this could force a last-minute compromise between the UK and the EU, which could potentially boost UK equities and the pound, Charles Schwab's Jeffrey Kleintop said on Thursday.

If Conservative Prime Minister Boris Johnson avoids a "no-deal" Brexit, this will ultimately benefit UK financial stocks and the pound, and revive confidence in the economy's recovery.
