Paying Car Tax in Turkey

Hi
WE need to renew our car tax, We used to pay this through our bank, but this is no longer possible unless you have a credit card, at the moment we do not possess a credit card.
The bank told us that we can pay at the tax office. We are not sure where abouts in Fethiye the tax office is, Can anyone point us in the right direction, Is it the same building where you pay the council tax as we know where this office is, Any help would be appreciated.
Russ.

Re: car tax

The tax office is not the same as the council tax. It is on the coast road from town towards Çalış, and past Esnaf Hospital. Set back from the sea about 100Mtrs.

Advice: get there early - as the doors open - and you will be out in 5 minutes. Go later and you can queue an hour.

Re: car tax

I always pay my Car Tax online, with me being in the office most days it's the easiest option for me.
You can also pay Car Tax over the counter at the PTT ( Post Office ).

Re: car tax

We paid our car tax at the post office after a couple of unsuccessful attempts at the bank.
Very easy.

Re: Paying Car Tax in Turkey

Thanks for the replies, I will try to pay at the tax office this morning. It's also handy to know that you can also pay over the counter at ptt.
Cheers.
