Re: Lockdowns in Turkey.

Pesonally, and I wll not be drawn into details, I think that the Turkish government have got it mostly right during this crisis. The directions have been pretty clear regarding which people can do what and when. Banning intercity travel, locking down cities (they have been quite specific which cities and when). Closing schools until September, no willie-nillying there. There is nowhere that I would rather have been, and nowhere that I would have felt safer.

Re: Lockdowns in Turkey.

I can,t copy and paste as my Lappy keyboard is in for repair and I am on an iPad But the media put out a normalisation process sheet which I snipped and stuck in my pictures saying the day the over65s and 20s and under would have curfew lifted was may27. Someone even posted a speech mr Erdogan made last night saying the same thing. Some of the things stated in it have been implemented but our situation has been altered

This will not make people happy then they are saying you could have to wear a mask to 2021.

It was never a definite Ted. It was only EXPECTED to be lifted. (Your post #3 on 18th May)

Re: Lockdowns in Turkey.

What is the state of restaurants/cafes opening for sit-down meals. I have been told by a restaurant owner that I am OK to plan for a late-June meal, but I can not see proof of that. Perish the thought that I should be told just what I want to hear rather than the true position!

As I have posted a few times I think they have been excellent in Turkey in not just how they have handled the crisis but their ideas proposals and suggestions for reopening their country for both domestic and international holidays have been exemplary

I note already many of their proposals on sanitation etc for hotels are being adopted in other countries reopening proposals

Bloody well done Turkey

The Health Minister said on Wednesday that they would be sharing with the public the plans for opening restaurants "soon."
