Yes, we're fed up too, here in Wales, plans spoilt, possibly for the whole year, but if you can't travel, you can't travel, end of. We haven't seen our family since March but we can talk to them.
Try doing this 50 years ago before skype etc. You would actually have to write a letter or use a phone, and that was often a party line. . .anyone remember those?

Why not write a letter, it's a treat to get one these days that isn't either a bill or a sales puff.
Funny you should say that we've been writing to our Grandkids aged ,3,7,11 and 14 they really where very appreciative and we got letters back we also use messenger video chat and have a family quiz on Saturday nights

Bloody well done Turkey
Still got to be careful of the refugee camps being infected they are vulnerable and it's where a second wave could start

Re: Lockdowns in Turkey.

We’ve just returned from an hour’s walk. Hot, but with a breeze, so not unbearable. We only saw one other person walking.
We’ll probably walk down to the harbour later. We can see the sea from our place but it will be nice to be closer. It would be so good to have an early morning walk!

Re: Lockdowns in Turkey.

We went for a walk in the afternoon. Several cars, scooters and a quad bike out, plus a young mother with three young children, none masked. Two ladies that I know, both over 65, separately went out for their walks in the afternoon in a (very) nearby town and both were stopped by the jandarma who would not even look at their ID but were sent home. Whilst just a few yards away people clearly under the age of 65, walking and riding bikes were ignored.
PS Most rental properties in the valley are presently occupied by out of area people.
