Russian Report

It is now seen successive Tory Governments “actively avoided” investigating known interference by the Russians in the two referendums an elections .... With The Conservative governments putting their own interests before that of the country.

We have seen recently for ourselves Boris tying hard to delay it with his partisan interference in the election of the new chair of the Security Committee, in a hope to delay it further......

So we can now say BOTH Boris Johnson's Govts and other Tory Govts have lied about why the Russian Report was delayed falsely suggesting the Report is now out of date tried to minimize the significance of (deliberate?) incompetence of 'taking eye off the ball' and that both our government and security services have simply looked the other way.

So much for no smoking gun. The Russian Report is utterly damning about the failure of the intelligence services to protect our democratic processes. We seen in the report itself when the Committee asked the Security Service they said" In response for our written request for evidence, MI5 provided just 6 lines of text"

From the Report ...

Re: Russian Report

To me, it looks like Boris closed his eyes to Russian activity whereas Corbyn would have been accepting Russian activity with his eyes wide open and outstretched arms.
So, which is the worst?

The Express ??? even the Conservatives said of the papers used by Corbyn (below)

"Conservative party said the material had already been online for two months and was simply readouts from meetings of the UK-US trade and investment working group" Why would Corbyn have issues using this ?

So who are you believing the Express or the Conservative explanation ...

So really a deflection away from the ruling Government shortcomings, lies and deceit ... I think a little more important than what was on the reddit site about the NHS ...

more importantly ..key paragraphs in Russia report paragraphs 39-45 UK government of Theresa May and Boris Johnson did not "seek evidence" of Russian interference in British politics including during the 2016 EU referendum... And when the Committee asked the security services MI6 sent cursory "six-line" note .

It appears the six documents comprising the leak were first made public on 21 October, when a Reddit user named “gregoratior” posted them to a politics forum on the social media site.

Corbyn still used unverified documents which may have been doctored and tried to pass them off as genuine.

Not a deflection.......it's still part of the story because he tried to benefit from the potential Russian meddling.

But as usual lets not take these facts into consideration........my bad.

Re: Russian Report

The Russia report had one big revelation: how little Britain really wants to know

Today’s publication of the long-delayed Russia report reveals grotesque incuriosity. “The outrage isn’t that there was interference,” explained intelligence and security committee member Kevan Jones of suggestions the Brexit vote may have been compromised.

“The outrage is that no one [in government] would want to know if there was interference.” Far from providing answers, the report’s main revelation is that the successive Conservative governments and the intelligence agencies seem to have regarded the most serious matters as analogous to the deaths of Spinal Tap drummers: best left unsolved…

Was there Russian meddling in the Brexit referendum? The Tories just didn't care

brexit.jpg

Putin features on a Brexit billboard in north London.

‘The EU and UK were seen as rivals – and Brexit could have offered Vladimir Putin a chance to weaken both.’

The conclusion of the Russia report is damning not for what it says, but for what it cannot. Neither the British government nor intelligence agencies made any effort to investigate the alleged hacking of the UK’s most significant democratic event in generations…

But Tenpin .....Since the Tories didn't investigate the Russian interference how do you know these six documents you say Corybn pushed came from a Russian source ????

So what has it to do with the Russian Report and the Tories??? .

As we still don't know ...till the ruling Party investigates .... the whole point...the Tories "actively avoided" seeking evidence.

So, surely a deflection, as Corbyn could hardly benefit as you said from Russian meddling if no investigation of meddling took place ? where is their evidence ? Did it come from the Express ?? where is their evidence....as again not investigated...

Even the Tories haven't said where they came from , certainly didn't suggest Russian, but simply "readouts from meetings of the UK-US trade and investment working group" ... and why because they didn't get the security services to investigate, so how could they ?

The whole point is continuous Tory Governments have delayed, lied and interfered in the publishing of this report .... don't you see the common thread running through the post ? Yes the lack of investigation ..

So sticking to the known facts ...not a Tory rag deflection to the whipping boy Corbyn ... and away from the real culprits. the ruling Tory Governments lack of requests to security services to investigate....

Re: Russian Report

Man who was furious about unelected European bureaucrats trying to run Britain curiously fine with unelected Russian ones doing it..

"Derek Williams, 58, was a staunch critic of the EU, and a big believer in stopping unelected officials from other countries having any influence whatsoever on how our sovereign nation is run – a view that has changed somewhat following the publication of the Russia report by the Intelligence and Security Committee...
