Re: Food standards

The UK’s £225bn professional and business services industry could “suffer” badly after Brexit – even if Boris Johnson’s government manages to strikes a trade deal with the EU, a Lords subcommittee has warned.

It comes as MPs overturned measures aimed at protecting food standards in future trade deals. The Commons voted down a Lords amendment which would have required imports to meet current standards after Brexit.

How does the £225bn professional and business services industry relate to food standards?

This sector includes advertising, legal services, market research, accountancy, audit, architecture, engineering, PR and management consulting.

Absolutely agree, government BS as usual, big business interests ahead of the health of the nation. Boris is using COVID to set up Br**it to favour his chums and make no mistake about it.

Sorry, but I don't see how that answer relates to my question on the £225bn professional and business services industry and its link to food standards.

And you introduce Covid now........again I cannot see the relationship Covid has to food standards?
