Habitation License

We had an e-mail from our solicitor telling us the military checks have come back OK, However she has advised us to wait for the habitation license before finalising the transaction. Otherwise we would be personally required to deal with all the paperwork. We were hoping to come out early July to furnish, We may have to wait for a last minute deal as the solicitor said it takes about a month for the developer to apply for one.
Has anyone heard anything different??

Re: Habitation License

Hi Stevie,

This is a vital step in the building process. It confirms that your house has been built correctly and is suitable for habitation.

I would strongly urge that you do not complete or consider doing anything until this has been passed by the local council and approved. Buy without and get stuck with a total lemon.

Cheap package deals easy to get at last minute anyway...... Recommend you wait till you have it all signed and sealed before spending money on furnishing.
