Re: Easter In Akbuk
Hi Colin and Angela
I have a property in Sunset bay Akbuk, myself and my family spent a couple of weeks there this March. the weather was nice in the day but turned a bit cold in the evenings, think we only wore a rainmac one afternoon. the Castle was open plus Jokers bar. come tothink of it all the bars were open on the sea front. we also done a few boat trips and ZaZa tours took us on a few outings.it was very quiet but thats how we like it. will be going out again next March, not keen on the heat so find the weather better then than summer. Pat

Re: Easter In Akbuk
Hi Pat
we like quiet and if the weather is dry and mild we will be happy. We have been in Turkey 3 times now sorting things out with the apartment so we have not done any sightseeing yet. We hope to tour a bit in March, can you recommend any day trips?
Regards
Angela

Re: Easter In Akbuk
Angela,
If the weather is anyways decent March would be perfect for a trip to Ephesus because it won't be packed with tourists and you won't be roasted alive. There should be a bit more space in Maryemana too although it could be cold at the top of the mountain. And don't forget to stop off in my favourite, Selcuk, the nearest town to Ephesus. Selcuk has a look of quality about it with some good restaurants. They have a nice, fairly small museum beside a little park where you can sit outdoors with a cup of cay or nescafe. There's a lovely mosque there, too, that's being restored, and, if you have time try to squeeze in a visit the tomb of St. John the Evangelist in the ruins of the early Christian church on top of the hill where there are magnificent views over the surrounding countryside.
