electric at olive gardens

email i have just received

Hi folks

The electric meters have now been changed it costs 730tl with earthquake insurance or 830tl without, that includes registering with aydem.
they will not leave the electric on so if you arrive at night no lights you have to pay the people who fitted the meters and he then registers you at aydem looking forward to seeing you all soon

Re: electric at olive gardens

Sounds a bit pricey to me, but maybe there are other factors influencing the price.

All you need now is Aydem to keep the power on to the town!

Re: electric at olive gardens

Hi Christella, we are in Kusadasi and our Baskan has recently sent us a demand for 1500tl for this changeover to Aydem, he has provided no proof of costings to back up his request. So it will be interesting if other people can share what they paid for the changeover. Where is Olive Gardens ?

Re: electric at olive gardens

Surely the builder should have notified everybody. What are people going to do when they arrive and have no electric ?

I don't know, i would want to know the cost of a new meter, exactly what work has been done and why, how much Aydem charge for registration and anything else involved.

What's with the earthquake insurance?
I was under the impression Dask was required for connection, so is it the case the extra 100 TL must be paid if you don't already have Dask and will people be receiving a certificate?

The price of Dask is based on square mtrs and is set by the government, so surely can't be the same for every property.

Did the "owners" know these meters were going to be changed?
What's the full story? Maybe I missed a thread somewhere.

There are a lot of properties on Olive Gardens, if everyone is being hit for 730-830 TL that's a lot of money.

It might all be perfectly correct but a couple of questions would not go amiss.

266 seems a bit steep just to change the meter, but as Rob says, it might all depend on what else they have to do etc.

Re: electric at olive gardens

The cost will depend on the work required to bring the site electrics up to standard, as frequently they don't meet the regulations or required design calculations, some will some wont, therefore different prices, what other work have they included ?
