Re: Info on olive gardens please

No attitude , it was just an innocent few questions and sadly got a lot of bitter answers in return . My financial affairs are my business as yours are yours.
Apologies for opening the can of worms,

Re: Info on olive gardens please

Freedombird its worth hanging around as you will get a lot of advice over the months if required. Once you get to know some of the characters on this forum its not so bad, but we can be a bit grumpy at times.

Most will have paid over the odds for their properties some more than others and many have lost everything or lost a fair bit on resales. Most Brits equate the value to UK prices which makes most look a good buy, the Turks know the real value so will pay less.

At then end of the day its worth whatever you are happy with, I would'nt give you £100 for a Rembrandt painting but others would many millions.

I had a place near Olive gardens and have to say your site looks pretty good. I dont know the workings of it but very few are issue free, even many Turkish sites have problems.

I also paid over the odds although I didnt think so at the time but fortunately I owned for 12 years, sold to a Turk and made a fair profit.

Re: Info on olive gardens please

freedom bird good luck and best wishes for your purchase. I have had a business in Turkey for 15 years and yes we have had ups and downs but never regretted it for a minute. We recently sold and that has been an experience but we more than doubled our investment and have the most amazing memories. When we first bought the business we were given much advice by people who thought they knew everything but at the end of the day we went ahead.
Sometimes people think they are being helpful with their comments and want to share their experiences both good and bad. I am like you I do not think that some questions that have been asked should be put on a public forum.
Turkey will always have a place in my heart and I hope you will enjoy your time as much as we have.

Hi Freedom Bird. What phase are you on? We are on Phase 3 and love it there.
We have owned for around 9 years.

The pool has been repaired and cost 500tl each resident. Not a large sum.

Pool is normally filled around 1st May.
