Inline skating?
Hi All:
I'm interested in knowing about inline skating possibilities along the Mediterranean coast, in particular near Side and Bodrum. What are the roads like? How is the traffic? Any racing teams anywhere near there?
Thanks for any info

Re: Inline skating?
You'll see plenty of inline skating especially around traffic lights. There are plenty of racing teams going up and down the Aydin rd on a daily basis. If inline skating involves ice, it's bloody hard enough to get some for your gin & Tonic let alone to skate on!! I hope you find this as useless as it was presented, and I have got a weekend off again !!!

Re: Inline skating?
Hi ML, Ive not seen anyone on skates, anywhere ive been along the peninsular. I remember it being a craze in the UK about 6-7 years ago as my son had some but the last time I wore skates they were jumping jacks (that should tell you something!).
NN: Inline skates have 4 wheels in a line - no ice involved but I see you have noted the best possible use for ice around here!

Re: Inline skating?
Thanks for the info - I was in Side in June for the first time and noticed that the roads were flat and well-paved and looked as though they'd be fantastic for skating on. Probably the best time would be early in the morning - when I was there the temp was over 50 for a couple of days - a bit hotter than I'm used to! I would like to have more info, though, if anyone out there either skates or cycles, about the traffic and pavement along the coast roads.
