Re: Water system on site?
Hi Rachael have a home on this sitesi but we were lucky because our daughter and son-in-law were over last week and they gave it to a friend of ours to pay and get a receipt (as you know receipts are important as they don't seem to keep a copy for themselves so unless you have proof that you paid it your sunk).
We left the sitesi 6 weeks ago and there was no mention of this then as we paid our 5 months idat, water and the electric was up to date, so it came as a surprise to us. As you know most of the sitesi is Turkish holiday homes and i am sure they wouldn't have been aware of this either, and will come as a surprise to them as we thought with expediture everything had to go by a vote. Any improvment of the water system is welcome and we don't mind paying just a bit short notice thats all.
If daughter hadn't of been going over i think we would have got in touch with our friend and asked them to pay it on our behalf till we get back over end of Feb.
Don't fancy electronic transfer, but i am sure lots of people use it.

Re: Water system on site?
Hello
We dont really know anyone well enough to ask them to pay. Getting the bill today and having to pay it by tomorrow is very short notice, lol. I think I will have to send the full amount out by bank transfer and our bank will send us a receipt of the transaction, so hopefully that will be enough proof we have paid it. Maybe if I then photocopy the receipt and post it to the site, then they can see we have paid it in full. Shame doing the transfer costs £15,, oh well

Also I would rather pay the entire amount in one go as my bank charges me £15 for each transaction. So I would save £30 by paying the entire thing in one go. Anyone else on my site get this bill and how are u paying it? How will the site know who has paid , does the electric transfer give my details to the people who are recieving the money? So they know I have paid the full bill.

I think you mean electronic rather than electric transfer.
You can do the same day but this costs more than say a three day transfer.
Also you would need to tell your bank the name and address of the person receiving the money and their bank details (ie sort code, account number and name and address of bank)
As it is such a small amount I wouldn't panic about paying with an electronic transfer.Send them an email and tell them you will pay next time you're over.

Re: Water system on site?
Hello
In the bill they sent, they gave their bank details but cannot see any name, and asked us to transfer the money into it on 3 dates. 1st Nov, 1 Dec and 1st Jan 2008. 32 tl each time. But as you say, we are going out again March time, so may just pay it then instead. Have to see what hubby thinks when he gets home. I just dont like owing money, but then again I bet lot's of people on the site will only be paying it when they next holiday there.
Cheers

Re: Water system on site?
Yes exactly Rachel I don't think the Turkish home owners on the sitesi will be rushing out to pay it, I am sure March will do fine really it should have been asked for while the season was in full swing and while everyone was still there. As you know there are quite a few British owners on the site and they will be in the same boat as you. So i wouldn't worry to much about it.

Re: Water system on site?
Rachael,
It will be cheaper for you to pay the fine of 10% than to send a transfer. I will let the new 'Lady' president know you have received and intend to pay in March when you return.
I wouldnt worry about not paying too much. as long as you pay the fine they will be fine.
take care

If you wait until March to pay, you can at least check that the job's been done.

Re: Water system on site?
Hello Everyone
just booked my flights for last week in March. If you could tell the lady we will pay then that would be great, thanks Marc. If anyone wants anything, like booze or crisps etc,, send me a priv message as I upgraded with BA as the flights were cheap.
Thanks for all your replies
Cheers
Rachel.
