I am sure many of you will be following the plight of our friends Terri & Steve and the nightmare they have been through with their van (please read the thread Uk Registered Car trouble).

I and a few others I know would like to start a fund and donate some cash to help Terri & Steve but don't really know how to go about it. Is there maybe a chance we could have some help with this? What do we do with the money? Where can we pay it into? Maybe someone can open an account and give us the details over the Forum as to where we can transfer our donations too? I would have suggested the Forums Charity Account, but Steve is a very proud man and the last thing i would want to do is offend him as to have the word Charity in this thread!!!

Terri & Steve truly are the nicest couple you could ever wish to meet, who would give you their last and help in any way, shape or form. They love living in Turkey and their girls have settled so well in school. I like many others just want this nightmare to end for them so they can once again enjoy the life they (even after this disastrous chapter of their journey) love so much.

All donations of course would be anonymous and the amount no matter how small will ease the burden and lesson the load.

If anyone on the Forum preferably someone living in Turkey, could possibly help with getting this fund up and running, we would be very grateful.

ANNE, what a wonderfull idea , im sure there are many people out there who would be more than willing to donate a few bob to help Steve and Terri with this fine.

Your tribute to these guys is spot on( words i would have written myself.!!!)

If somebody on this forum could please give us a pointer in the right direction on how to set this fund up please do so.

I know Steve and Terri dont want "charity" so to speak but wouldnt this be a worthy cause for the rest of the TLF fund rather than it just sitting there doing nothing and we could all consider re donoring to boost it further!
Probably easier with Mushtaq,s help than setting up a separate fund but worth a try.

Fabulous Terry I knew someone would come up with a good idea, of course we wouldn't want to take anything from the TLF fund that was ear-marked for something else, so maybe Mushtaq if he could please help with any money being paid in specifically for Steve and Terri Fund we would be most grateful if he could help and see that the money is channeled to them no matter how small.

Thanks again Terry brilliant idea i just hope Mushtaq can help and doesn't mind using the TLF fund account and can somehow seperate these donations solely for this purpose.

Great news just been speaking to Mushtaq (founder of our Forum) and he has kindly set up a separate Steve and Terri fund on TLF, so now there are two accounts so please make sure you click on the one you wish to pay into.

But if you could wait untill Monday till we hear the outcome of the British Consulate meeting with Izmir port officials and hopefully the final fine that they must meet, so we can at least have a target to aim for.

Just been speaking to Steve and Terri they are overwhelmed with everybodys messages and offers of help.Anne thank you so much for getting the Steve and Terri fund up and running.I dont think you all will realize what a great weight this is off their minds that there are people out there willing to help at last.!!!!!!!!
