Re: New Home Needed for 4 Dogs - Fethiye Area
Alan, that yourself and Cen have thought about your lovely dogs at such a testing time speaks volumes. Respect for your sad loss, fingers crossed for Cen and the dogs.
Chin up. Steve.

Re: New Home Needed for 4 Dogs - Fethiye Area
Alan, so sorry to hear about your mum, I hope that the re-homing of the dogs and the thought that you will be back with Ceni soon will make you feel a little better, good luck to both of you. xx

Re: New Home Needed for 4 Dogs - Fethiye Area
Well it was us that offered a home to Molly and Sam, unfortunately it is not working although they are lovely obedient dogs who are a credit to Alan. I think the stresses of us just moving to Turkey and the fact we have left our two boys in the UK is too much for us and we feel we cannot cope or offer them the kind of home they need or deserve. We thought it would be Ok and we were doing the right thing but it is not to be.
I have just spoken to Alan who unfortunately is on his way to Istanbul to catch his flight home to the UK. I know Alan would prefer to have Molly and Sam rehomed together if at all possible.
Therefore if anyone can offer them a home please get in touch, we are near Dalyan.
I must stress that we have tried our best but just cannot cope the way we thought we could at this time. I hope I don't get slated too much for this.

Re: New Home Needed for 4 Dogs - Fethiye Area
Diane, believe me we have not decided this lightly we have tried our best although it may only be three nights, they are lovely dogs but this is starting to make me and my wife ill with worry.
As for the fine time to tell Alan he told us he was flying back to the UK on Monday but didn't mention he was going by coach to Istanbul today.

Re: New Home Needed for 4 Dogs - Fethiye Area
Is it possible one could go and live with benson and the people renting the house ??? ..Could you cope with one of them ?????? Ohhh i wish i lived there , Can alan pay to have one of them looked after .....I'll put my thinking cap on ...I.ve lost a lot of money in Turkey and came to find my house burgled ..Plus £34,000 not coverd by insurance ..Plus a lot bmore plus'es ... Try to relax a little ..your making yourselves ill by the circumstances and thinking you've upset alan ...I can understand because thier big dogs not little things like mine , ...........Worry never solved anything never did , ...Calm down a bit go to the beach with them ..etc ..I had a friend who was going to a dog show . she asked could she stay the night at my house it was 3oo miles one way ..So she stayed the night in my one bedroom place ....With 7 corgi's and 7 crates plus i had 2 corgi's ....Turned out she left her hubby and stayed 3 months !!!!!!! Some out on back garden some on front cos mine objected to the invaders , brised shins on crates etc ..Oh the joy of it all and when she left she owed me £300 she borrowed ~~~ I've never seen her since !!! Its trying at first but it gets better Honest .......Diane

Re: New Home Needed for 4 Dogs - Fethiye Area
Bringing this to the top and it's important it stays there.
I am wondering if one of the mods can start a new thread as many people will probably not now read this and therefore won't understand how important it is, and might save Alan and Ceni some stress.
