It's not just the Turks that are cruel to dogs.

thats awful..awful..awful..that poor dog..
my daughter found a kitten on the road just after xmas...near carmarthen..not turkey..its had just been thrown from a car..obviously the lovable oo ah xmas pressie had lost its appeal..its eye was badly damaged..nina took it to the vet and the eye was removed..and the kitten now anout 8 months is a super loving little thing.
we are the cruelest animals on the planet.

I hate cruelty of any kind. By God we humans have a lot to answer for.
I have never understood the perversity of people who gain enjoyment of such actions.

There are cruel people world over. I have seen some acts of kindness amongst Turks. The restaurant owners feeding the street dogs and cats and the big burly fisherman nursing a tiny stray kitten he found by the harbour. The difference between the two countries is that in UK there are some laws to protect animals and many in UK are prosecuted for animal cruelty.
