Rabbits

Does anyone know if you are allowed to bring a pet rabbit into Turkey?

Re: Rabbits

Honestly I am serious. I have my pet rabbit (Henrik) and couldnt contemplate moving without him. Anyone who has a definitive answer would be most appreciated.

hi phil..im sure the same rules apply for any domestic animal..many people bring cats and dogs in...and did you know that rabbits are a very popular pet with turks.
ive even seen families on picnics with the pet rabbit running around with the kids.

Re: Rabbits

Thanx Shirl though unfortunately I am not sure the rules are the same for rabbits. Apparently the normal pet rules apply to dogs, cats, fish and birds.

Re: Rabbits

Why not try contacting either something like this

http://www.petairuk.com/

Or even the Turkish Embassy

http://turkey.embassyhomepage.com/

I e-mailed them about our dogs before we moved over and they replied with the information I needed.

Good luck (and we do put the air con on for our dogs who are feeling the heat a bit this first year)
