Re: WANTED: lab retriever/ golden retriever
And if your heart is set on a particular breed don't let that put you off visiting the sanctuary - believe it or not many beautiful pedigree animals are just left at the end of the season every year. Lucky Cat has a gorgeous spaniel with a lovely temperament that was running around free last year abandoned with 2 other lovely dogs that I believe had to go to the sanctuary.

We second that sentiment Sue, we have always had 'rescue pets' in England and are sure they know that you have given them a home. Which reminds me, as well as Cassie, do you still have that BEAUTIFUL spanial you gave a home to last year?

Re: WANTED: lab retriever/ golden retriever
I have to agree with KKOB (again??!!!??) Kent Vet - their shop oposite Migros usually have a good selection of puppies and don't rule out the sanctuary on the Uzumlu road. We have three ex-street dogs and more friendly, well behaved dogs you couldn't wish for.

All dogs understand "The 2 Fs" - Food and Friendship
Give them the 1st F, they'll give you the 2nd.

Re: WANTED: lab retriever/ golden retriever
All our dogs understand English perfectly - don't know how!! Also, we have found that the street dogs know which people are not Turkish - don't know how they do that, either, unless they can tell by the sound of the speech.
