cats

Hello everybody,we are moving to fethiye very soon,we have two great cats who are very good bird catchers, thats what cats do,we hope to have chickens on our land, all the cats we have seen in Turkey seem to co-exsist with the local birdlife,do you think ours will do the same?. Is it fair to take them over with us?,do you think they will adapt?,are there many problems getting them over there?,is it only Turkish Airlines that will fly them?,what is the cost?.Any help would be very welcome, thanks in anticipation. Hi Peter and Marian,
Welcome to the forum. I brought 2 dogs and would assume similar would apply to cats. Contact defra.co.uk for export details. It's quite a simple process, your vet does most of the work. We flew Turkish Airlines and paid excess baggage of £7 per kilo for them and their carry cage. My dogs have adapted very well and I'm sure your cats will also. Good luck.

Most of the charter airlines will carry dogs and cats by arrangement and providing of course that the papwerwork is correct.

If you need help with the transfer, get in touch because we've done it with our own dogs and other peoples.
