Animals
Hello all. I wonder if you guys could clarify something for us? We had been informed by a company that we were planning to use, that if our cat travelled on the same flight to Turkey it needed a rabis jab, a micro chip and a clean bill of health certificate issued within 96 hours. That's it.
Our vet, however, is saying that there must also be an export license, which we had been informed was only required if she was travelling seperately.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Animals
Ive just found this ...may help
Taking pets out of the UK
You must comply with the requirements of the destination country
Some will only require an export health certificate; some will need proof of vaccination, whilst others will require you to obtain an import permit. The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) operates an export helpline on +44 (0)20 7904 6347 or Fax +44 (0)20 7904 6395.

Re: Animals
The export licence is only a requirement if the animal is not travelling on the same flight as the owner.
The certificate of health must be issued no more than 96 hours prior to travel, not 15 days as stated elsewhere.
