Pup wanted
Hi
Recently our much loved cat passed awy and we are now looking for a pup. Preferably a Toy Poodle but are finding it difficult to find.
We have spoken to a lady who can obtain a 2 month old pup from Istanbul. However we are told these are shipped in from Russia. Now, we do not know the finite details of this breeding group but have heard some opinions that it is a "puppy production line", that the breeders are only in it for the money and that the dogs might have later health problems.
However, the lady we saw last night said they supply many outlets in Turkey and people would not come back to them if they had a bad reputation?
Does anybody know of this Russian breeding group called the Sera Group? We cannot find anything on line about them.
To sum it up we are ideally looking for a Toy Poodle puppy, ideally black and female. Pete and I are FULLY aware that a puppy/dog is a long term committment and I have previously owned a dog for nearly 17 years so are not going into this lightly.
Any advice/ help you could give would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Lorraine

Re: Pup wanted
Never heard of the Russian people I'm afraid but I know several people who have got dogs from there or alternatively Bulgaria and they are all fine. A lot of people I know also go to Izmir where there is a pet shop who will find what ever sort dog you want.

Re: Pup wanted
I know you don't want to adopt a stray but the dogs home in Fethiye also helps with re-homing dogs for owners. It's possible they might be able to put you in touch with someone who knows where to get a toy poodle locally.
