Unhappy Character string

I am trying to send my daughter an email but yahoo is asking me to verify a character string, how do I adjust my computer so that I can read the string? (Have not been with yahoo long, used to have virgin but not available now we are in Turkey, not liking yahoo very much!)

Re: Character string

New one on me. Can you send a blank email or one with very basic text? If so then it may be something in the text you are sending and it thinks it some sort attack. Make a screenshot and post it on here.

Is it a valid email string?

I used to have Yahoo, its crap !
best thing you can do is open a hotmail account. much easier, free and will be there for you no matter where you are.

Re: Character string

its a security thing to prevent spam but I think the problem is that our computer is not set up to display the characters.

Germaine we are thinking of changing our email provider,we have had hotmail before and got a lot of unwanted junk mail - thats why we changed to virgin

Re: Character string

first thing to do is go into control panel and add the Turkish Language to your operating system - its under Regional Settings > Languages.

Im using a cut down version if XP at the moment so cant fugure out how to get the turkish characters up though, if I recall though there should be something in your Taskbar that allows you to toggle between English/Turkish language.

Its been updated quite a bit recently to deal with junk mail. after choosing the option to transfer junkmail to 'junkmail inbox' I dont really get any.
but then my 2 favorite moto's are... 'if its free, its for me' and 'owt for nowt'
