Re: Ttnet 5*

Yalimart, I was looking at the dongle packages but didnt like a two year contract with TTNET for that money, how long is your contract? I found it cheaper to get a phone contract that included 1 GB of internet usage and use the mobile as a bluetooth modem, just as fast and cheaper too.

Hijo, you could create a ad hoc wireless network between the PCs and share one internet connection for both.

Re: Ttnet 5*

Having looked on the TTNet website they are running a campaign at the moment for new subscribers where for the upto 8Mbs package they are only charging 29.99tl per month for 6 months after which it goes up to the 49tl. Good deal.

Unfortunately we have the 2Mbs unlimited package paying about 65tl and I don't think they will let us change to the 8Mbs unlimited because it is cheaper. (Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong as I would love to be very wrong in this instance).

Hi Mack

its pay as you go, I used about 500 Mb in 2 weeks, that included massive windows updates and norton updates etc, I would go to one of the bars in future to download this sort of stuff, hindsight etc

we are back out on the 24th dec until 7th jan and will be using mainly e mail and messenger so should have plenty of capacity

martin

Good deal. Why don't you give TTNet a call and try, you never know - just press 9 for an English operator: 444 0 375

Dave.

Re: Ttnet 5*

Thanx to Redders and his tip I have just upgraded from the 48TL 1MB unlimited to the "up to" 8MB package at 49TL. It was all done over the phone thru the TTnet customer service line, 444 0375 (press 9 for english) literally in 10mins and bythe end of the conversation the increased speed was operating!

We are about 5kms from the exchange so on the 1MB pack I was getting around 0.7. Just done a test on the new one and am getting 4.2 so pretty impressed. OK,, nowhere near 8, but hopefully now the fibre optics are going in around here there will be an improvement.

Even so, five or six time increase in speed for 1TL a month is OK by me even with the fair useage policy of 15GB a month before they drop the speed.
