Best landline / Internet deals

Thanks for all the advice re telephone connection. Is it right I still have to go through Turkish telecom first off for the landline . One thread suggested turkcell for the Internet. I take it they cannot install the landline.

Re: Best landline / Internet deals

Hi Nigel, yes its Turk Telecom to get your landline sorted and at the same time apply fir the internet access with TTNET. They will get your landline connected and the internet usually follows the next day or two.

Re: Best landline / Internet deals

2mb speed is pretty slow. I am assuming you mean mbps (millions of bits per second or megabits per second).
TTNet's standard packages are currently 8 mbps. As with all companies that means up to ....

Re: Best landline / Internet deals

is streeming different to watching BBCi player and ITV player on line - which of the advertised tariffs would be suitable ...... 2Mbps, 3 Mbps or 5 Mbps? My Turkcell dongle is supposed to be 7.2Mbps - in actual fact it is usually around 5.5Mbps - and I have no trouble watching on line TV via a VPN at that speed but the 5Mbps Airnet tariff is 59TL per month - compared with TTNET first year 39TL and second year 59TL (or thereabouts) at 8Mbps and modem included - just you have to commit for 2 years ..........

It doesn't look as if you need any equipment (modem) - you choose which tariff you want, set up an online subscription, create username and log on etc, pay with credit card and connect to the Airnet wireless network - like in the UK - the BTFon hotspots ....
