ADSL/BBC IPlayer

Hi!

Can anyone advise me out there?!

At the moment I am on the limited 4gb ADSL package.

To be able to watch BBC Iplayer will I have to upgrade to the unlimited package to avoid high charges?

Re: ADSL/BBC IPlayer

My understanding is that BBC Iplayer will not work in Turkey as it knows you IP address is from another country.
You might have to use a third party software or proxy to alter your IP address to a UK on.
I have used hideyourass.com

You need to upgrade to the higher package if you intend to watch much TV via internet.

Yep, I have got a UK VPN, was just wondering about the package.

Have to consider if it's worth paying an extra 20tl a month for?!

Re: ADSL/BBC IPlayer

I think its worth the upgrade. If you go over your allowance on the lower packages you get charged extra per gb, so you can get a shock at the end of the month. Even the unlimited package has a fair use clause. When we went over 25 gb a month, ttnet didn't charge us more but slowed down our connection until the month ended. When my teenage daughter was living at home, this happened to us twice.

that is right , you need to hide your ip address. bbc iplayer is only avalibal in the uk so when you connect you need the let the server know you are in the UK this is why some people hide their ip addrresu better still try filmon.com you can watch many uk programs bbc 1 and 2 itv 1 ,2 ,3 and channel 4 and channel 5 etc etc..... you must get an umlimited internet package.

Re: ADSL/BBC IPlayer

Hi SonnyJim, we have an unlimited internet package (costs around 60tl a month) and I regularly watch ITV Player, IPlayer and now ITV1 etc. You definitely need an unlimited package otherwise your internet bills will soar.
