Ttnet internet services

Can anyone please tell me what TTNET's unlimited data internet package allows ? I am assuming there is a fair usage policy in force and dont want to overshoot the data limit. Basically I use the internet for streaming BBC IPlayer and am wondering how many hours usage/viewing the unlimited package would
allow?

Re: Ttnet internet services

Depends on the package, generally 75GB per month. If you go over that your speed drops to 3 mbps. until start of next month. we watch a lot of tv and if it drops it is still manageable.

Re: Ttnet internet services

As Tom, Karen, Sam, Natalie & Lucy said, it is 75GB, but the speed does drop, in my case, to 1Mbps or lower - I should be so lucky as to get 3Mbps!

Tom, whats your normal speed ? you are closer to the exchange than us, we are getting between 6 - 7 albeit erratic, I was offered fibre when I renewed in April, but they couldn't give any details, some locals say there is no fibre in Yalikavak.

Bora says he can get 24 Mbps but I think thats Adsl 2 not fibre.

Re: Ttnet internet services

A big thank you to all who have replied. ( cant see any "thanks" button !).

Unfortunately, when I signed up to the unlimited internet package with telephone I had nobody with me to interpret what the Turkish sales assistant was saying to me - she had very basic English and I had even more basic Turkish. I was banking on being able to hunt around the website and get info about the package and what it allows/includes and what it doesnt. I had stupidly assumed TTNET would be like Aydem and have an English language option but cant see one? So hopefully I can find the answers here. For example can you drop the package down to a bare minimum when you are not in Turkey ( just like Sky TV in the UK) or are you tied in to a fixed 2 year package. Also I had also understood the lady to say that telephone was essential to receive the internet but my neighbour says that is not so - I dont use the telephone for calls and prefer to use the world wide Skype subscription given that my family are dotted around the world. . So sorry to be a useless pain in the butt - but any help will sure be appreciated.

Re: Ttnet internet services

You can't thank others until you have made 5 posts yourself, or at least that was the set up.

Re: Ttnet internet services

Usually get around 11 or 12 Martin. fibre would be good but not available yet in Yalikavak.
