Re: My telephone!! Frustration!!
Not sure if I undertand it correctly;
Your home line is not working properly, you have tested you phone in another house and that works?
Are you using broadband or dialup modem to use the internet?

Re: My telephone!! Frustration!!
If you are on ADSL are you using a 'splitter box' (a small box the size of a matchbox)with the phone? If you are not you should fit one (about 5 ytl from computer/phone shops) as your phone will not work well without it, although it should work to some extent even if not very well.

Re: My telephone!! Frustration!!
if you try another phone in your home socket and still have the same problem then you have problems with the line itself, if your saying you have broadband which you can use ok this suggests 1 leg of your wiring has become disconnected somewhere along the line as broadband will continue to operate via 1 wire whilst you loose your telephone service, i cant really tell what your complaining of from your post as it doesnt make much sense,bere in mind if you have a problem with your line and the problems into the house there is a chance you will be charged for the engineers visit as the telecom company are non responcable for problems caused by customers owned equipment, hope this helps

Re: My telephone!! Frustration!!
I had exactly the same problem a few months ago. I had to wait 6 weeks for Turk Telekom to come out to fix the problem. Turk Telekom came, connected his phone up to the little electric box outside my home, spoke to his mate for 10mins, and then turned around and told me that is was a problem underground and that all my patio would need to be dug up!!! So the line clearly was working as he was speaking to his mate on it! All the time my ADSL was working fine. I eventually got a private engineer out, he came and fixed it all within 10mins, without the need to dig anything up,it cost me 20ytl. It must just be a faulty telephone connection if your ADSL is working fine.

Re: My telephone!! Frustration!!
So if you bring another phone in, do you have the same problem?

Re: My telephone!! Frustration!!
Hi Freda luv
Either you have severe sunstroke or have been over indulging.........get a grip woman from what you are saying (which is not exactly clear!) it is the phone not the line which is the problem. I assume to get ADSL you do not touch the phone but click on your screen or something. Sorry I can't remember what my initial set-up was like but I know I never had a telephone, just the line.
For goodness sake, just pop along to a shop and pick up another phone. They are cheap enough here.I do have numbers for two nice engineers working for Telcom, but they are Karçula based and wouldn't touch you with a barge pole! Could you not 'borrow' a phone from somewhere, plug it into your connection and if it works you will know that it is your phone giving you grief.As you said the phone has been road tested in other places and worked ok, only yesterday it didnt.... Forget all this hassle and worry Freda. Sling the phone away and buy a new one.

Re: My telephone!! Frustration!!
Don't have ADSL, so pull the phone plug out and use the same line for the internet. Think you're right about the phone though. It did work at my friends house last night -hence the frustration - but I think the keypad has gone mushy or summit!! Will give it a sound thrashing tonight if it still doesnt work and then go and buy a new one!
