You may have seen the adverts on the TV. Turkcell are selling a Motorola basic mobile phone with free credits. We paid 115 lira for mine as I put my flip-phone through the wash last week. A new sim is about 25 lira and 1000 credits about 100 lira so we were pleased with the offer. There is a drawback though - you have only one month to use the credits and they cannot be used to call UK or any other sim card - just other Turkcell users!! As most people I know are on Telsim and normally I struggle to use 100 credits a month even ringing the UK I guess I am going to have a job using up these 'free' credits. Didn't see anything on the paperwork - it is explained via a text message when it notifies you of the arrival of your free credits. They also do not show up as credits so I don't know if you can keep an eye on your usage but I'm more worried about how to use them than going over it
