Thomas Cook has nothing to do with sun express apart from buying seat from them

Re: Sunexpress
Yes, I do get through to someone who speaks Turkish. All I can do now is wait until the payments show on my bank account and who they are payable to and then contact them again. I have a fax number and and a ladies name to send the information to so I will let you know what happens. It is a real shame as the flights they are offering are reasonably priced, direct and good times and Stansted is our nearest airport.

from my earlier post you may have noticed that Thomas Cook hold the Lufthansa shares in the jv that is Sun Express.
No doubt more will be revealed when we fly with them - the in-flight brochure is normally quite informative
Thurstan
and for the posters about meals and baggage this was taken from their website this morning :-
We welcome you on our website and would like to make you familiar with us -
Turkey’s leading low cost scheduled airline.
Founded by Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines in October 1989, SunExpress
boasts a young fleet with an average age of under 7-years and currently
operates nine Boeing 737-800s and four Boeing 757-200s.
We are proud that we gained more than 2-million satisfied passengers in
2006.
We will start to operate between Stansted and Antalya on Mondays and Thursdays.
The flights depart from Stansted at 10.30 to arrive in Antalya at 16.30 local time. Services from Antalya will depart at 07.05 and arrive in Stansted at 09.30. Flight time is just four hours from Stansted to Antalya and 4 hours 30 minutes on the return leg.
Although considered a ‘low cost scheduled carrier’, SunExpress’ product offer
includes: free beverages and non alcoholic drinks; complimentary meal plus
special dietary options; seat selection at check-in; newspapers; in-flight movie & audio entertainment; 20 kgs free baggage allowance; and golf and dive equipment carried free of charge up to 30 kgs.
Welcome on board we are happy to serve you with more than a smile !

Re: Sunexpress
Please be AWARE if you try to book online through the sunexpress website. I have had quite a substantial amount of money frauduently taken from my bank account because of their online system. My bank are sorting it and will get the money back for me but it has given me sleepless nights over the past few days and it could take up to 10 working days for it to be credited back to my account.

Re: Sunexpress
Hi Gail,
We also had some difficulties with an online booking. According to the SunExpress website the booking could not be completed even though we had already given our credit card number. We tried again and got the same message. Then we phoned them. Our advantage is that we live in Germany and can speak German. We then made the booking by phone without any trouble. However, the credit card carry-on was worrying me so we asked the woman in the SunExpress office to check the day's bookings. She immediately found the other two bookings that (according to their site) "could not be completed". She cancelled them at once and arranged for the money to be refunded to our credit card account. This was also done immediately - I got my credit card statement this morning and the money was refunded on the same day.
We have never flown with them but will be trying them out in June and again in September. We made the second booking directly by phone to save any trouble. They offer the best prices from Cologne Germany to Izmir or Bodrum on the dates we want to travel.
Hope this helps
Anne

Re: Sunexpress
I have spoken to sunexpress and faxed through a copy of my bank statement. I made a telephone booking with them for some flights is April which is ok, but the other 4 payments which amount to nearly £1700!! are all fraudulent. I am hoping they will credit my account immediately once they realise the error. I will keep you posted..............

Re: Sunexpress
No wonder you had sleepless nights. I hope you get it sorted out soon. I will definitely check my bank statement very carefully after making bookings with them.
Good luck

Re: Sunexpress
Spoke to a very nice lady and she has assured me that the money will be back in my account by tomorrow... My only concern now is that the amount they give me back will differ because of exchange rates, I will keep you informed. It is the first time this has happended to me so I an very unsure about using my debit card to book flights in the future.
