Guys, i need your help getting to istanbul

Going to istanbul on the 25th may for the european cup final.

Ideally want to travel from a north west airport, whats the best way to get there? Would i be better getting a flight to a nearby country or somwhere else in turkey and then onto istnabull as at the moment flights are over a grand.

Cheers

My advise would be to book a holiday to Bodrum area for a week then take the bodrum to Istanbul shuttle (£100 return) stay a night in istanbul, it will still cost you a lot less than a grand. i reckon £500 max

There is a a flight on 20th from Manchester for £149 before taxes for 7 days to dalaman then I think there are daily flights to Istanbul for well under £100 (flight with holidaywarehouse.co.uk)

Randy, my mate has just booked a package for 600, no ticket. If you want I can find out more details from him, he'd be flying from Liverpool or Manchester i would guess. as you know the problem you have is if you aren't flexible on flight dates then you'll have problems getting a cheap flight.

Try flythomascook.com i know you can go for just a couple of days with them but i still think you may have to fly to somewhere like dalaman first then get a connection to istanbul

Just Been Checking for a friend and Turkish Airlines, seem fully booked around 24 - 27th May. Trying to find another way but most have to go for 7 Nights, flythomascook.com have a flight going out on 23rd but nothing coming back until 28th and that was £542 for two adults flying to bodrum. Another person I know has just paid £699 for their flights to Istanbul.
