Next Thursday (19th May) Turkey celebrates "Youth and Sports Day" when all schools, banks and public sector offices will be closed.

Just be aware that with any public holidays in Turkey, the banks (if you did need to use them) are usually a nightmare the day before and as this one falls on a Thursday it is likely the Friday will probably be the same ahead of the weekend.
