Flights from Ireland

Hi all...

Anyone any idea or thoughts on all year round flights from Dublin to Izmir? Any sign of them starting?

Currently only from May 1st to mid October which is just not good enough im my eyes!

Hi Asla and welcome to the forum. Nice to have another Paddy on board! I am also from Dublin, and with the amount of Irish interest now in Turkey, I'm sure it wont be long before there are year round flights available. As far as I know Sunworld do travel to Izmir in December, as it was in last year's wintersun brochure.

It would be great if the flights were more frequent. Hopefully it will happen soon!

Hi Asla,

Some friends of mine from Dublin fly out from Belfast, or use cheap Ryan Air to Manchester or Leeds and then on from there. Leeds is preferable bacause it's a smaller airport and less hassle when you change.

Budget Travel are advertising return flight from Dublin to Bodrum for EU149 for 7 or 14 nights, departing 12th. or 19th. June. Not bad. I want to go last 2 weeks in August, but don't know whether to wait and watch the prices, or book now in case the flights at that time of summer are full. Anyone any advice?

Thanks

Mag for August, personally I would book now, I have booked my flights and now my daughter wants to come and she is having to pay alot more than us. I don't know what it would be like for you in Ireland though Mag. I suppose it's down to the fact are you brave enough to gamble [:0][:0]

Thanks Gail,

I think I will just book it now. I'll be kicking myself if I can't get seats later I suppose as this is our first year doing flights only to Turkey, I should keep an eye on prices each month, and it will give me a better idea for the future[8D]

Hope to see you in August[8D]

Mag,
Hi,A friend has just booked for Aug 7th and he is paying 349 euro for Bodrum with Budget.
Going on experience over the past few years and booking myself with them, you will find the prices will not fall for either July or Aug from the sort of level mentioned.
My family and I are flying out early July with budget and we are paying around the same price.
What you pay in Euro via Dublin you could expect to Pay the same amount in Sterling from Belfast.

Cheers David
