Thomas Cook

Good old Thomas Cook are coming up trumps for me again. I booked a return from Gatwick to Dalaman for March the other day for £80. Today I have booked another one to Dalaman in April. This time going from Gatwick and returning to Birmingham. It was £183 to include meals. I would have preferred to go from Birmingham but was tied to travelling on 22nd. and Birmingham didn't have that day so never mind at least I won't have a long final leg on the way back.
I was very pleased with these prices as I was expecting them to be much more. I also like the facility to book outward and return flights separately meaning you can come and go from different airports and are not stuck with the traditional 7 or 14 days.

Forgot to say - the welcome5 code gave me £10 off.

Oh yes also forgot - this is the week that one or two forum members have said they would be interested in joining us for a day or two. I hope Shirley and her friend will come and anyone else is welcome. Yildez has said she can possibly book reasonable pension accommodation. So Hil and I will be 'at home' from 23rd April.

Re: Thomas Cook

The discount didn't work on my £80 flight as the flight has to cost more than the discount. Apparently one leg of my flight was £1.99 and the rest tax. I had the cheek to email them and be a bit stroppy about it and they phoned me and explained very politely!!! Have lovely hols you two.

Re: Thomas Cook

Why are Dalaman flights so much cheaper than Bodrum flights, that's what I'd like to know ?

Re: Thomas Cook

When I first found our flight the price was £160. When I looked later it had gone up to £326!. So I cleared my 'cookies' out and the flight was £160 again.
Obviously these companies download a 'cookie' onto your computer and know that you are interested in a flight and put the price up hoping that you will be forced to buy as the price is going up.

So well worth clearing your 'cookies' before buying a flight ticket

In Internet Explorer go to the top and click on TOOLS, then INTERNET OPTIONS, then GENERAL, and then click DELETE COOKIES
