Changing Money
Going to be in Yalikavak and Gundogan for a fortnight in august, what is the best way to take money, are trav llers cheques easy to change, are there ATMs ? Any advice please

I use ATM's there are plenty around and rates are not bad.
Just watch out for fees from your bank, some of them are high.
Don't use credit cards to draw money out, unless you have to. A lot of places will take sterling too, but be aware of the exchange rate, so you don't get done.
I won't bother with travellers cheques.

Changing money vis ATM debit card
I agree with Mushtaq. On my hols I normally use my Visa DEBIT card to get cash at ATMs and have found it to be reasonable rates and costs - and very convenient...
...except in Akbuk where the ATM was not up and running when I was there a couple of months ago. Otherwise in most tourist centers and larger towns and cities ATMs are everywhere.

It's worth opening a flexi a/c with the Nationwide, no charges for withdrawels from ATM in Turkey.
We put spending money in before we leave and use as needed.
