New Car Price

A new car price list I have looked at is showing a new 1.4 Dacia Logan at 7900 (18200 TL). Bloody good value I reckon-or is my price list waaay out of date. Anyone up on current new car prices in Turkey?

Re: New Car Price

Thats good value, and up to date according to the Dacia Turkey website, prices valid to 31.12.10, you might have some extras to pay for registration and foreigner number plates, those costs were included when we bought a brand new car here but maybe not all dealers do this. I don't think it would add a great deal though, have a word with your local dealer

Re: New Car Price

Yes that's right and from time to time they will include extras.
Sales are quiet this time of the year so you may get a bargain.
Also worth looking at their range of part exchanges as they sometimes have some good cars there too.

Re: New Car Price

i think the diesel 4x2 is going for about 37000 lira with aircon
apparently if you get a 4x2 it is classed as a car so tax ect is still low but if you get 4x4 it is really expensive and you have to do mot every year

Re: New Car Price

A friend of mine had a 1.4 Dacia Logan and although it has a half decent motor (Renault) the rest of the can only be descibed as shoddy.
If you have one of these, then i have no intention on offending.
But you get what you pay for with this one

Re: New Car Price

Hi, I settled on a new Dacia Sandero hatch back a couple of months ago, basically a Renault clio clone with a different shape. Got the 1.5 diesel (Renault engine) around 60 mpg (I'm still imperial!) build quality good, great car all round, I paid around 10k for the higher end model, ( Lauriete) but the prices start from around 8k.

The Sandero (& Dacia cars generally) are rated as the 3rd most reliable in France & the sandero is the 3rd best seller car....& its coming to Britain soon. It's a Ford Focus size car and after a Renault Kangoo, its a real treat to have a new car for not a lot of money!

The Dacia duster is a great buy as well, in 2/4 0r 4/4 versions, but cost over 35,000TL.

The Sandero slipway is another version of the 5 door hatchback hatchback

The Renault dealer oposite the old Kochtas (Ortokent) supplies the Dacia range, and prices (from website) include plates, 3rd party insurance & a tank of fuel, 3 years warranty, 6 year rust. Small discounts are available, but don't expect too much....I got 400TL off. The price is a driveaway price....

And remember that car price deteroration is very slow in Turkey, so you could run a car for 3 years (until warranty is up) then sell without losing much!

If buying new, beware of the classification of some vehicles as 'Camyonet' light commercial van based, as the Logan 5 seater estate is a Camyonet tax class but the 7 seater is private and the Dusters are classed as private.

When you buy a new car that is classed as a camyonet, you pay less sales tax (so the car is cheaper) but you have to mot every year from the first year of purchase, plus annual road tax is a bit cheaperplus there can be weight/seating limitations!

Buying a new car that is classed as 'private' you pay more in purchase tax but don't do mot for 3 years, then every 2 years therafter, road tax is a bit higher as well

Do a google search and you'll find a lot of info.

Vroom, Vroom......

Re: New Car Price

There's a big ad running on TV at the minute for the Dacia Duster...satarting price 29,950TL. We had a look at them a few months back...not exactly what I'd call a jeep but a nice car for the money.
