condor/sun express airline

Has anyone recently flown with Condor/SunExpress.
What are they like to fly with as regards comfort, food and reliability?
I have come across a very good deal to Izmir for the middle of this month.
Aer Lingus, Dublin to Amsterdam and then SunExpress to Izmir, but I would like to get some info about them before I book.
I have looked at some very good reviews about them on the Internet, but would like to hear the TLF members views.

Mary.

Hi Mary,

I used them four times last year, Amsterdam to Izmir.

Left on time, on two occasions actually arrived 30 mins earlier in Izmir.

As airline food goes, it's fine. The breakfast, lunch or dinner is part of the ticket but beverages (excluding tea and coffee) you need to pay (water, soft drinks, alcohol).

They are sticklers for excess baggage like most of the economy airlines, 20 Kg hold luggage is in the ticket price but they allow you 22 Kg

Can't recommend them highly enough.

Hope that helps.

Re: condor/sun express airline

Mary, I'm flying Izmir to Dusseldorf on the 26th of this month with Sunexpress then on to Dublin with Aer Lingus. I've never flown with either airline so am also interested in replies on this thread.

For me, our 17yr old son and 5yr old daughter the total price was 725euros return all in which is great compared to the 1400 euros Turkish Airlines wanted

Re: condor/sun express airline

Well I have booked Jan18th to Feb8th.
Dublin to Amsterdam with Aerlingus. Amsterdam to Izmir with SunExpress.
245Euros. Return. Good flight times. Not a bad price when you have to take in connection times.

Thanks to everyone who made suggestions.
Mary.

Re: condor/sun express airline

Condor airlines claims to provide the lowest price. Condor's fares to most destinations within Europe run between $150-300 for a round-trip flight. Long-haul prices are appropriately higher; for example, a trip from Frankfurt to Brazil in April 2011 will cost approximately $800 return, although making the journey on their new route to Seattle costs considerably far more, at around $1300 round-trip. Condor Airlines flights are known for being very comfortable and relaxing. In fact, they have a Comfort Class in their flights. The seats are very comfortable so passengers will not feel any discomfort especially on long flights.
