Coach-Dalaman to Bodrum

Hi There,

Does anyone have any information about coaches from Dalaman centre to Bodrum please?

Is there a straight through coach-or do we need to change? Does anyone know how long it takes and what the approximate cost would be?

Thanks

Ann

Re: Coach-Dalaman to Bodrum

I know there is a Pamukkale coach which goes from Alanya to Bodrum and I would expect that it would stop at the bus station in Dalaman. If you go to the bus station in Dalaman they will be able to give you the ticket price which will not be expensive and when you book your ticket you can also book your seat. Coach travel in Turkey is great, as this is a long distance coach you get a TV in your seat where there are films, unfortunately in Turkish, but you can also listen to music and play games. There are no loo's on the coach but it will stop for a break of between 20/30 mins at a large roadside cafe where you can buy food and drink. We usually take sandwiches and have a picnic on the bus.

There is a trolly dolly on the coach who gives out free drinks, biscuits cake etc.

We travel between Side and Fethiye a couple of times a year and always use Pamukkale, the buses have always been on time and are clean.

You may find at the bus station in Dalaman that there may be a service from there to Bodrum, if not there is the one I have mentioned.

Have a look at the Pamukkale web site.

If you get the bus I mentioned, there will be no need to change.

Re: Coach-Dalaman to Bodrum

Thanks Ada,

The coach would have been great but it's a bit late in the day for us.

We were hoping to get there early afternoon, check in to the hotel and still have some of the day left to look about and then go out for a nice meal.

Looks as though it'll be the Dolmus to Mugla etc-but thanks so much for the info.

Cheers

Ann

Re: Coach-Dalaman to Bodrum

Dolmuş 65 tl, coach is 22tl.
Stay an extra night in Dalaman Pansiyon for about (65-22 = 43tl).
Get whole day till 5pm for coach.

Dolmuş = bumpy, crowded, no ents, more expensive, slow, no seat guarantee
Coach = smooth, air-con, comfy, good ents, food, cheap, much quicker, seat reserved.

If you could stay extra night coach sound better ...

Hi There Ada

sounds good to me!! We'll see if we can get another night in the hotel-shouldn't be a problem.
