Re: Airport parking

Has anyone found any cheap parking near Gatwick more recently? I can't decide whether to drive or take the train tomorrow!

Re: Airport parking

I was surprised how cheap it was by train the last time I went there.

I only paid £21 from Maidstone to Gatwick changing at Victoria.

Re: Airport parking

Yes, it is and doesn't really take that long. If you are in the South of London and can get into London Bridge, the train to Gatwick only takes 30-40 mins, saves going all the way into Victoria.

Re: Airport parking

I was told yesterday and I now can confirm, at Bournemouth Airport you now have to pay £2:50 to get into the airport for dropping off or picking up, it seems they have put up a barrier and this is at the main entrance as you come off the main Hurn road, I have not been up there yet too see it myself but friends flew out last week and told me all this, it seems there is no way around this charge unless you are dropped on the main road, which could be very dangerous, if you are going to airport by taxi of course now the Taxi drivers are having to charge the extra £2:50......I know its not mega money, but I still think its a bit OTT!!!!! So just a warning to let you know to have an extra fiver in you pocket when flying from Bournemouth
Am I right in saying even Gatwick (in fact I am sure) do not charge they have a 20 min drop off or pick point on the first level car park for free.
Anyway just letting all fellow travelers know, who are flying out from Bournemouth.

Re: Airport parking

At East Midlands airport its now £2 to get out of the drop off & pick up zone. I think its 10 minutes you are allowed in there. In the other bit where you can stay a little longer the minimum is £4. When my dad dropped me off recently he went down the wrong lane and had to pay £4 for about 4 minutes!
