Accommodation

Don't know if anyone can help, but I hope so.

Have just booked flights to Dalaman for 21st March. I need to arrange accommodation. As I am property hunting in the Dalaman area(within one hours radius) any suggestions as to where my daughter and myself should base ourselves? Any recommendations as to hotel/apartotel/apartment/villa would be appreciated.

Iknow I will need to hire a car, but I have read that driving over there is fairly hair raising. Is this true?

Thanks again for reading this and all suggestions very gratefully received.....

Hi Nana,

If you are looking for somewhere quiet & typically turkish, perhaps you should consider Koycegiz.
It is a large working village with a beautiful lake plus plenty of restaurants & bars alongside the lake.
Property prices are still very reasonable and the local people are so friendly & make you feel very welcome.
If you were interested in staying in Koycegiz during your visit, you can do no better than to contact Sarah & Bulent at Koycegiz Real Estate, who will arrange accomodation for you in the village.

My husband & myself live here full time & would be pleased to answer any questions you may have.

If you do decide to try Calis/Fethiye as well, contact Cenk who is a forum member and has apartments that he rents out very reasonably. Cenk is also an estate agent and he will advise you honestly and truthfully about property and he will not pressure you in any way. He speaks very good English and you will find him and his wife Olga charming people - I promise you.
