Thomas cook baggage allowance

Hi all. I was thinking of booking a flight back to the UK for a week from bodrum,on the Thomas cook website it says 15kgs hold baggage, that is enough for me,I was just wondering is there a fee for this whilst booking the ticket on line ? I didn't want to go through the process of booking my ticket, then get charged just as much for the baggage,I hope you understand what I mean, thank you.

Re: Thomas cook baggage allowance

Once you start your booking process, you choose the flight and the next option will be baggage, which can be purchased seperately or as part of a bundle ie luggage, seat and meal but either way it's an add on.

Re: Thomas cook baggage allowance

I booked a flight a couple of weeks ago with Thomas Cook. I'm pretty sure I paid around 30 each way for the bundle of luggage, meal and choice of seat number. In effect the meal is free if you buy the bundle. But the luggage is 20kg not 15. I think you only get 15kg if you book a package, so flight & hotel.

Re: Thomas cook baggage allowance

I don't think anyone has given any incorrect information, mainly because different flight numbers or more to the point the first 3 letters determine which weight allowance and which price band it falls into.

However the difference with Thomas Cook occurs depending on if the flight is with:
'Thomas Cook' or 'Flythomascook'
Also Thomas Cook Hand baggage size is smaller than any other carrier at, 43 x 28 x 23 cm

I think it was Ryanair that allowed 10kg of cabin baggage, although if they run out of space then the bag would have to go into the hold but at no extra charge.
But again depending on the flight hold charges vary between, 15kg = 50 or/and 20kg = 70, although I'm assuming those are for return package bookings.

Also with Easy Jet there is a no Weight Limit on cabin baggage. (but again space permitting)

Edit 2:
Not as good as my original link but this might help, http://www.lowcostholidays.com/baggage.aspx
